In this feature of brands you should know, but probably don’t, we’re going to focus on the most affordable trend to take part in this season. Hair accessories. Let us introduce you to a few lesser known brands that let you get in on the trend, and still be original. Best of all, these brands have great jewelry pieces, too. Scroll down for the hair accessories that’ll make everyone ask where you got them:
Female owned and operated, each of the pieces on their site is handmade to order. Plus, it’s not just hair clips, they’ve got matching earrings, too.

There are so many reasons to love this brand, but our favorite has to be that all the pieces are handmade by a Fairtrade mom’s/women’s collective. And, while this brand may have been lesser known before, they’ve really gained quite the following (in fact, you’ve likely seen them on your favorite fashion girls insta page in the last few months or so). Plus, all their pieces remind us why we called shell and hair accessories as two of our Nine Trends for 2019.
Seoul Import / @seoul_import
Handmade resin hair clips designed in Copenhagen, these clips give off a total mermaid vibe, and we are here. for. it.
Founded in Cophenhagen in 2001 we love the quirky 70s vibe of the flower shaped clips just as much as the simplicity of their thin clips.
New to the hair clip game (founded in 2019) but don’t count them out. Handmade in Greenpoint, BK and we’re pretty sure this side hustle could turn full time for the owner/creator.
